Background
The Hinterview Chrome Extension project aimed to enhance the recruitment process by providing an integrated tool for recruiters. This tool needed to streamline the workflow, allowing recruiters to seamlessly capture and share candidate video interviews directly from their browser. Our goal was to improve the user experience, increase productivity, and ultimately, provide a more efficient and effective hiring process.

In preparing to design the Hinterview 'Record a Hintro' Chrome Extension from the ground up, I identified several critical areas that needed to be addressed to ensure optimal usability. The new workflow for video capture and sharing had to be seamless, integrating these functionalities directly into the browser to avoid the inefficiency of opening multiple tabs. It was essential to design a clear and accessible Chrome Extension, enabling recruiters to navigate and use the extension with ease. Additionally, the placement of key actions needed to be strategic to minimise clicks and enhance overall efficiency. These considerations were pivotal in creating a user-friendly and efficient extension from the start.
